For the treasure map invitation, print on light-brownish paper, burn the edges a bit, and slide a wet tea bag on all of the sides of the paper to get that old treasure map look. Make sure you take the necessary precautions when using fire to burn the edges. After burning the edges, roll each invitation up, tie a string or ribbon around it, and put inside a bottle (leave a piece of sting hanging for easy removal). The bottle can either be a plastic bottle, or for a more authentic look – a glass bottle. For that extra touch, close the bottle with a cork! Add a few tablespoons of sand and small seashells to give it an ocean-like effect (you’ll need to hand-deliver these invitations).
